The Pinecrest Piranhas Swim Team is operated solely by parent volunteers. Membership on the swim team comes with mandatory volunteer participation. Families are required to earn 6 points. 

The Pinecrest Piranhas Swim Team is a member of the Greater Dayton Swimming Assoication (GDSA) and follows the rules set forth by the Rules of the GDSA. These rules may change from year to year.

The funds from each Piranhad season are used each year towards GDSA dues, coaches, equipment, t-shirts, trophies, and GDSA Semifinals/Finals. All the parents who work on swim team Board and Parent Volunteers are not paid. This is how our costs are kept down. All of our teams participate in a championship meet at the end of our season.

After our championship meet we have a end of year banquet honoring everyone for all their hard work.
